Proper Engineer (Field / Data Center / Infrastructure Engineer) - Seattle, US

We are looking for hands-on Proper Engineers to join our global team, delivering fast, reliable, and professional datacenter support.

Core Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, racks, and network equipment

  • Perform remote hands support (cabling, rebooting, hardware swaps)

  • Troubleshoot hardware, network, and connectivity issues quickly and accurately

  • Execute break-fix and IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) tasks

  • Follow SOPs, SLAs, and ticketing systems

  • Coordinate with global teams and clients to ensure seamless operations

  • Ensure uptime and operational efficiency under high-pressure conditions

Technical & Hands-On Skills

  • Server hardware (Dell, HP, Cisco, etc.)

  • Rack & stack, structured cabling

  • Networking basics (IP, DNS, VLANs)

  • OS basics (Linux / Windows)

  • Remote tools & ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)

  • Data center operations & safety standards

  • Installing hardware in racks, cable management, component replacement (RAM, HDD, PSU)

  • Diagnostics and troubleshooting

Soft Skills & Work Style

  • Strong problem-solving skills and quick thinking under pressure

  • Ability to work independently on-site and handle multiple tasks

  • Clear communication with remote teams and clients

  • Attention to detail and proper documentation

  • Time management and prioritization under fast-paced conditions

  • Empathy for engineers’ challenges and commitment to quality service

Typical Background

  • Degree or diploma in IT, Electronics, or Engineering (not always required)

  • Certifications (nice to have): CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA
